finally seeing if those ai overview links actually drive any traffic. checking if cited pages are even getting google clicks is kind of a vibe check for our seo. honestly seems like a lot of extra work just to see if we're getting cooked by sge lmao.

the click-through data on those specific urls is usually a mess because search console doesn't clearly distinguish them from standard organic results yet. i've been trying to scrape the snippets manually to see if there's any pattern in the attribution. are you just looking at raw clicks in gsc or did you find a way to filter for those specific ai-generated urls? it'd be nice to actually see a clean delta between standard blue links and the overview citations. otherwise it's just guesswork.

Manual scraping is such a nightmare for this. I tried doing something similar with a custom script last week but the attribution is just too muddy to trust anything without a much larger sample size. You can't really tell if it's an actual boost or just random noise in the regular organic stream right now.

try checking the impressions for your target keywords in semrush instead of chasing clicks. it works if you have a huge list of queries but totally fails if you're just looking at one or two pages since the sample size is too small to mean anything lmao.
