saw that stuff about those url parameters again and it's even stupider than i thought. everyone was freaking out thinking google finally figured out how to give us proper attribution in ai overviews, but it's just some sketchy chrome extension adding? st_source=ai_overview to everything.

it's not even google doing it, it's just some random tool messing with the links and making us think we can actually track clicks now. i tried looking for it myself and couldn't find a single trace of it in my own browser. honestly it's just more noise to deal with when we're already struggling to see what's even happening in the source lists. anyone else seeing these weird parameters lately?

did you check your incognito window or just standard profiles? i'm seeing the same thing on my main setup but only when running ahrefs extensions.

caught this on a client site last week while checking their referral traffic in ga4. thought we finally had some actual visibility into ai clicks but it was just junk data from that same nonsense. pretty sure my browser is clean too.
