the way organic results are clustering around specific user intents is getting weird. i noticed that long-tail queries used to yield a mix of blog posts and product pages, but now the top ten are almost exclusively direct transactional snippets . it feels like google is stripping away the informational layer from the primary search results.

it's basically just an ad for a shopping carousel now
this makes tracking organic rankings for top-of-funnel content nearly impossible since youre competing against automated product feeds rather than actual articles.

u're assuming the intent is shifting, but i think the user behavior is actually driving the clustering. if people are clicking the shopping carousels and then immediately bouncing, google is just following the clickstream to match what users actually do.
