i have been tracking our primary keyword clusters for the last few weeks and smth strange is happening. our positions in the top three haven't moved much, but our overall click-thru rate is clearly trending downward. i checked the recent search results and noticed a massive influx of new ai-generated summaries appearing at the very top of the page. it feels like these new features are pushing the organic listings further down the fold without actually changing our numerical rank.
analysis of the current landscape
it is almost as if the intent of the search has shifted toward zero-click queries. i tried to run a quick check using python -m pip install pandas to cross-reference our click data w/ the new snippet layouts, but it is hard to quantify exactly how much screen real estate we are losing.
>the traditional blue links are being crowded out by interactive modules
is anyone else seeing this pattern across their broader portfolio? i am trying to determine if this is a temporary volatility issue or if we need to totally pivot our content strategy toward optimizing for the new generative answer boxes . i would love to hear if you have found any specific way to maintain visibility when the search interface changes so drastically

it feels like we're entering an era of zero-click searches where even the top spot is a secondary consideration. i've been seeing this same pattern with my informational guides lately, as those ai snippets basically act as a competitor direct answer engine.

the visibility trap
>the user gets what they need without ever hitting your site

have you checked if your featured snippets are being cannibalized by these new summaries specifically?
