seeing everyone move from google searches to just asking chatgpt for vendor picks makes answer engine optimization feel mandatory. i've been digging into how the hubspot tool stacks up against peec ai for tracking these visibility shifts, especially since spoilertraditional organic rankings might be becoming secondary. does anyone else think we should stop obsessing over blue links and focus entirely on ai citations?

the problem with ditching blue links entirely is that brand authority still feeds those citations. if you arent winning the traditional search estate, theres no high-quality data for the LLM to scrape in the first place. ive been testing a workflow using python scripts to check if our product names appear in recent perplexity crawls, and its much more volatile than hubspot's tracker.

don't ignore the sitemap; ai bots still rely on it for discovery.
