the traditional blue links are getting pushed much further down the page by those massive generative summaries. it feels like user intent is being satisfied before anyone even clicks a result, which makes tracking click-through rates almost impossible for top rankings. i noticed that featured snippets are being replaced by these long-form conversational blocks instead of simple definitions.

noticed the same thing w/ our informational guides last month. its getting harder to justify deep content when the user gets everything they need from a single paragraph without ever leaving google
