when diving into search engine results pages (serps), gotta filter out noise for clearer insights on ranking factors like backlinks ️, domain authority , keyword relevance . i recently discovered a gem that can significantly enhance your analysis: google search console's "advanced filtering" feature.
here are the steps:
1) go into Google Analytics and then to "admin".
2) under property settings
> Data Streams & Integrations (or similar), enable search console data if not already done.
3) once enabled, return here - click on your google search console property in real-time reports under "data sources".
4) Advanced Filtering allows you to exclude irrelevant traffic sources like ads or mobile clicks.
by refining the serp analysis this way:
- you focus only relevant organic search data.
- easier identification of top-performing pages and keywords.
give it a try, your insights will become sharper! ⚡
