another update to that geo book. looks like they're finally admitting versus pages actually matter for visibility. i've seen it working for some clients but seeing it written down is something else. also supposedly shifting focus away from reddit and more toward general community reputation management since chatgpt visibility there has been dipping lately. sounds fine in theory but i doubt it's that simple to pull off. they're even talking about adding ssr and javascript fixes to the guide now. honestly it feels like chasing shadows at this point. everything is moving too fast to actually pin down a strategy. im pretty skeptical about how much cro actually influences llm buying decisions though. seems like a massive stretch to think we can optimize for an engine that doesnt even use click-through rates. just more noise in the feed.
