i'm tired of seeing people hype up astro or hugo like it's magic when you basically have to build your own sitemaps and canonical tags from scratch. wordpress handles all the boring stuff with plugins, but with static, everything becomes a manual task if you don't want to mess up your schema or redirects.

it's honestly just more room for small mistakes like trailing slash conflicts to slip through. does anyone actually enjoy configuring robots.txt and metadata manually every single time?

Plugins are just a black box of messy code and bad kerning. You don't manually configure metadata every time; you build a single reusable component with the right slug logic and let it propagate. It's way more reliable than some bloated WordPress plugin randomly breaking your hierarchy during an update. spoilerJust use a template./spoaster
