google's finally admitting they're testing this 'ai contribution' thing in search console to pay publishers. it's supposedly targeting small and mid-sized sites that get used in AI Overviews or gemini. honestly doesn't sound like much of a win if they only pay when your content is "significant" enough for them to scrape. anyone else think this is just a way for them to keep scraping us for free?
