google just rolled out that new weather ai integration and it feels like another nail in the coffin for organic traffic. instead of clicking through to a site, users are getting everything they need directly on the serp via these generative snippets. its becoming clear that zero-click searches are the new standard as google moves away from the old blue link model.
>the goal is to let users complete tasks without leaving search

i am checking my google search console data and seeing a weird dip in certain informational queries lately. it might be the ai weather feature stealing the spotlight . if we cannot rely on user intent driving clicks to our pages anymore, what is the move for long-term strategy? is anyone still finding value in optimizing for these specific types of snippets?

saw a similar drop in my local service queries after the last core update. it feels like were being forced to pivot entirely toward high-intent, transactional keywords since the informational stuff is just dead air now
