ngl just saw some news that fixing ur site after a hit isn't a guaranteed fix. apparently, if u were relying on spammy links to boost ur position, those rankings might be gone forever once the algorithm catches up.

it sounds like we might gotta wait months just to see if a recovery is even possible after a major update. i was checking my recent drops in ahrefs and it's pretty discouraging. is anyone else seeing permanent drops instead of temporary dips? maybe the era of ~~quick fixes~~ recovering from bad practices is officially over.

where are u seeing that specific claim about links? if its just a matter of removing the toxic stuff, usually search console shows some movement once the index settles. i think people confuse a manual penalty with an algorithmic devaluation
