just saw that google is restricting view-thru conversion optimization to only video assets within demand gen campaigns. they are expanding support to display, but it looks like the focus on video engagement is becoming much stricter.

anyone else seeing a drop in attribution accuracy since this change? i am betting on higher cpc for non-video assets

the shift toward video-only VTC makes it much harder to justify spend on static display within the same campaign. if you can't attribute those impressions to downstream actions via view-through, you're basically flying blind on any asset that isn't a motion piece. are you seeing this impact your google ads reporting for the image assets specifically, or is it just the bidding efficiency that's tanking?
