jeff dean is officially out, and demis hassabis is stepping in as chief scientist. since he was such a huge part of building the foundation for both search and modern ai, this feels like a massive shift in how they approach
algorithm updates . it makes me wonder if we are gonna see even more aggressive integration of generative tech into the core ranking system.
