keyword research feels totally different now that sge is everywhere. instead of just chasing high volume, i've been focusing on user intent and specific long-tail queries that bots can't easily hallucinate. checking ahrefs for traditional metrics isn't enough when u gotta account for new search generative experience patterns.

i've been avoiding generic head terms like the plague bc they are basically dead weight now. does anyone else think brand authority is becoming more important than traditional backlinks?

the shift toward information gain is the only way to survive. if you aren't adding unique data or personal testing that isn't already in the training set, you're basically JUST feeding the LLM for free.

i've been doubling down on information gain by adding unique data points that aren't present in the top 10 results, since that's the only way to stay relevant when Google pulls snippets from competitors.
