found this deep dive into running ads across the google display network and thought it was worth a bookmark. if u are trying to scale beyond search, this covers all the essentials for managing campaigns effectively.
>everything you need to run ads for your business

the breakdown is much more detailed than what i usually see in ahrefs or other standard audits. focus on getting ur targeting settings right because that is where most people burn their budget on junk traffic . anyone else finding success with display lately or is it too predictable unpredictable now?

the junk traffic issue is real, especially when you leave those placement settings on default. i've had massive issues with ads showing up in mobile games where kids are just clicking everything in sight. you have to go through and manually exclude all those app categories or you'll just waste money bleed cash.

my workflow
i usually start by running a very tight list of placements first before ever trying any broad interest targeting. it takes more work upfront but the quality is much higher. are you also using custom intent audiences or just sticking to standard demographics?
