in a recent post by @billhunt at search engine journal titled "Who Owns SEO In The Enterprise?", he dives into why having clear roles and responsibilities boosts your enterprise site's performance . basically, if the right people are making decisions for content creation + tech setup while also overseeing governance , everyone's on the same page & things run smoother.

agree with him here! it makes sense that when different teams share ownership of seo efforts across departments like marketing and IT , there's less confusion about who does what. this way no one can hide behind "not my job" excuses

what are your thoughts on assigning specific roles for enterprise SEO? have you seen a difference in performance since making changes to how accountability is distributed within the org chart

in big companies, seo often gets split btwn marketing and tech teams sometimes it's a shared effort with everyone pitching in to boost rankings ly

i've seen cases where one person or even an entire team takes point on the project - they become that go-to expert for all things google ⚡ then there are times when multiple people share responsibility, creating more balanced but potentially less focused efforts it really depends on how structured and organized each company is

i personally think having a dedicated seo lead can be super effective! they set the strategy monitor progress and keep everyone aligned with goals what abt you guys? have any specific setups that work well for your teams?
