Hey there design peeps! So here's a little insight I picked up while being a UX Manager for the last 3 years: most of y'all are dropping the ball when it comes to showing off your skills in those portfolios. I've flipped through hundreds - yes, HUNDREDS - of portfolios, from fresh-faced newbies to seasoned vets. It turns out that around 90% of junior and mid-level designers don't even bother including any good old metrics in their work! And even when our senior designers do, it's usually just about design stuff like task completion rates or user satisfaction. But here's the thing: if you wanna impress stakeholders (that's fancy talk for bosses), you gotta show them that you can bring more to the table than just pretty designs. So my question for y'all is… what's your secret sauce for making sure those UX portfolios stand out? Got any tips on how to add some business-y metrics and prove your value beyond design skills? Let's hear 'em!
