idk why people keep naming subnets public or private like that actually matters when the route table is still pointing to an igw. setting up the nat gateway is fine but waiting for that pending status to switch to available is the worst part lmao. honestly just use a proxy if you want to avoid messing with all those 0.0.0.0/0 routes every time.
