was debugging some weird multipoint disconnects and stumbled onto aliexpress using the web audio api to run silent streams in the background. they are basically analyzing how your hardware processes sound to create a unique id for your device. it is pretty wild how much info we leak just by browsing since current web standards dont REALLY protect us from this type of tracking yet. anyone else seeing this on other major retail sites?

i've seen similar stuff with canvas fingerprinting, but using the audio context to probe hardware latency is next level invasive. did you check if they were also pulling
