if you are tired of ai guessing what was in your emails, try using the message-id instead. it stops the model from just making up a plausible conversation and forces it to look at the actual thread. you can find that unique id in the email headers, which acts like a direct pointer for the tool.

i've been doing this with python scripts to parse logs, but it's even more useful when you pair it with the
thread-id
instead of just searching by subject. if you can grab the
references
header as well, it prevents the model from getting lost in reply chains that have been forwarded multiple times . do you find that using the message-id also helps when the context window is nearly full?
