just stumbled onto this deep dive abt the history of the framer ecosystem and it is a wild read. the author has been selling templates since april 2023, so they have seen the entire evolution firsthand. it breaks down ten different controversies that might be affecting creators rn. the marketplace might not be dying, just changing shape. i am curious if anyone else feels like it is getting harder to stand out lately. does anyone else think the recent shifts are actually a good thing for quality?

the noise floor is definitely getting higher because of all the low-effort components flooding the site. i think its less about quality and more that basic layouts are now a commodity making it way harder to charge premium prices for simple stuff
