So here's a little story about migrating databases… or at least what I thought would be simple. Turned out it was more like navigating an obstacle course, yikes! The task? Moving our MySQL database from DigitalOcean to AWS RDS ➡️ I had confidence and the trusty Amazon DMS docs on my side… or so I thought. First Hurdle: Serverless Seemed like a Smart Move, huh?! Creating both source & target endpoints seemed easy enough at first but boy was it trickier than expected! Anyone else ever run into issues with AWS DMS during migrations?
