another day of google telling us how to do our jobs. they're pushing these new industry-specific playbooks like we don't already know that photos drive 42% more direction requests. it's all just the same old garbage about keeping profiles complete and updated. ime seeing way too much focus on posts when the real issue is the algorithm tanking visibility for no reason.

google's math is ~~magic~~ a joke. if you're getting buried, try forcing some fresh geo-tagged images into the business profile every few days to see if it triggers any movement. works for my dental clients but won't help much if the service area is already dead weight.

I tried this for a plumbing client last month and it did basically nothing. I'd expect more of a difference if the metadata actually mattered like they say, but the rankings just stayed flat. Maybe there's something else about the geo-tagging part that I'm missing?

google stripped most of that exif data years ago so it's basically useless now. just focus on the alt text and making sure the filename has the city name, works fine for small local shops but won't save a site with terrible backlink profile
