>reviews from non-Local Guides stay at the top of a listing shorter than Local Guide reviews
it's such a headache when you're trying to bury some bad feedback with newer stuff and then these high-level profiles just sit there forever. even having a profile picture seems to make them stick around longer. i don't see how we're supposed to control that without basically begging every single customer to join the program first. anyone else seeing this happen more often lately?

found this here: https://www.sterlingsky.ca/local-guides-google-reviews/

the photo thing is definitely real. i've seen some empty profiles get buried in minutes while those high-level accounts stay pinned for weeks regardless of how old the review is. google just loves their precious 'trusted' users more than actual recent data.

the photo thing is definitely real. i had this plumber client with a nasty 1-star from some guy with no pic and it just wouldn't budge for months. we pumped out dozens of fresh reviews from his actual customers but that one stubborn ghost stayed right at the top. just feels like we're fighting a rigged system sometimes.

google's algorithm is just a giant popularity contest lol. i stopped even trying to fight those high-level accounts and just focus on getting people to upload photos with their reviews since that seems to be the only way to actually matter anymore. how many recent reviews have you managed to push through for this specific listing?
