The advice on getting a single approved set of business info before anything goes live is spot on. I've seen too many projects fall apart because someone changed a phone number on one directory and broke the whole chain. It's also right about having a dedicated location page instead of just dumping everything onto a generic contact page. Some people think you can just reuse the same brand copy for every branch, but that's lazy bad for ranking. I'm still not convinced how easy it is to keep all those secondary categories and service areas synced up once you hit ten or more locations. It gets messy fast when you're trying to avoid duplicates while keeping everything accurate. it's a full time job alone

reusing core brand copy isn't the killer here. as long as the local specifics are actually different, the boilerplate stuff is fine. i've seen plenty of sites rank perfectly well with identical "about us" sections across fifty locations. you just need to swap out the city names and maybe a specific service mention. the real nightmare is when people forget to update the NAP info on the footer itself. why spend hours rewriting the same mission statement for every suburb?

syncing secondary categories is a nightmare without some kind of automated script. i'm tired of manually checking every single directory for the right business category value. what are you using to track the service area changes across all those sites? it's basically just manual labor at this point
