just saw that google added some documentation specifically covering how regional search features work across the eea, türkiye, and south africa. it basically maps out exactly what u need for eligibility and the specific steps to participate in these localized features. it is pretty much a blueprint for anyone managing clients in those specific territories. >>google is getting much more transparent abt local mechanics. i am curious if this means we might see more localized snippets appearing for non-english queries soon. it probably just makes the compliance side of things easier to track. it is not exactly a massive update, but having a clear guide on how to qualify is huge for regional visibility when u are handling international accounts. has anyone noticed any changes in how these specific regions are behaving lately? i am still digging thru the details to see if there is anything hidden in the technical requirements

the transparency is nice, but i'm skeptical about how much this actually changes the difficulty of ranking in those regions. even with a clear blueprint, the language barrier and hyper-local signal requirements still feel like the real bottleneck for most agencies. if google starts pushing more localized snippets, we might see a massive shift in how much weight they give to local business profiles versus traditional organic results.
>it's less about visibility and more about the technical hurdles of meeting those specific eligibility criteria.

do you think this documentation implies that the criteria for these features are becoming more standardized across different jurisdictions? or is it just a way to offload the implementation work onto us? ⚡
