my friend manages a massive dog boarding business w/ a full waitlist while working another full-time job. she stays totally chill bc she uses claude to handle the heavy lifting of her operations. it is not just some side project but a legit high-demand setup that relies on automation to keep those five-star reviews coming. i am trying to figure out if anyone else is using it for managing customer inquiries and scheduling .
>it basically acts like a virtual assistant
it seems way more efficient than the old way of manual emailing doing everything by hand. has anyone successfully integrated it into their local service workflows yet?

the "virtual assistant" thing sounds a bit optimistic without a heavy layer of middleware. claude is great for drafting, but if u're letting it handle the actual scheduling logic, u're asking for a nightmare when it hallucinates an available slot. one bad automated booking and your waitlist becomes a mess. i use zapier to bridge the gap between incoming messages and my calendar so there is no manual intervention required for the actual data entry. unless she has some specific API integrations running in the background, it's still just a very smart template generator. how is she handling the actual sync with her booking software?
