watching the live answer stream shows that perplexity is actually scanning the whole web, not just picking top results. it's basically a real-time crawler for citations and video , which means our local listings are still very much in play . does anyone else think this makes traditional backlinks less important more critical for visibility?

i noticed the same thing when my client's local directory suddenly dropped out of the citations, it turns out their unstructured data wasn't even being indexed properly.
