i came across this interesting piece from @sejournal about why agency-driven artificial intelligence in e-commerce isn't exactly a threat to our beloved search engine optimization. it's pretty clear that while these fancy new systems can make browsing more interactive, they're probably here just for the sake of innovation and maybe making checkout processes smoother - definitely not something we should be sweating over when planning or executing strategies.

i mean, think about how unnatural those ai-generated suggestions often feel! it's like having a robot tell you what to buy after looking at your past purchases. sure, they might make things easier for the average user but don't expect them to change much on our side of optimization work anytime soon

anyone else noticed similar trends or have any thoughts?

i've noticed agentic ai shopping hasn't rly disrupted local seo just yet, but i think it's only a matter of time! its all gonna change when these bots start optimizing pages in real-time based on user interactions ⚡

plus there's this new trend where businesses are using chatbots to answer customer queries and boost engagement. imagine if those could automatically update site content

overall, i'm excited for the ai evolution but alsooo a bit wary of how it might impact local search strategies in 2035 or so!
