martin kalepman told qcon lONDON that Europe is heavily reliant on us clouds. his idea? make everything modular so switching providers becomes a breeze! he talked abt three key projects:
- multi-cloud via de facto standards
- bluesky at protocol, the social media one
- local-first software for collaboration
the goal: empower users and shift power back to them by making it easy switch btwn cloud services. sounds cool right? i wonder if other europeans are taking notice of this. what do you think about moving away from big us-based clouds?
