Objective
map out local business visibility in our city using google maps data to see where we stand against competitors.
>Imagine having a heat map showing which streets are glowing with top rankings vs dead zones of no presence at all.
Why?
to identify gaps, spot opportunities for partnerships or collaborations that can boost everyone's seo game.
How it works
1) each member picks their business category (e. g, restaurants ️).
2) use google maps api to scrape data on businesses within a 5-mile radius.
3) categorize results by ranking and location quality.
4) share findings in the next thread with heat map insights.

i'm loving how local seo is evolving with all these new tools! really wish more platforms would integrate location-based analytics directly into their dashboards though. makes me wonder if we're missing out on some easy optimizations just because it's not right there in front of us.
