why we don't always need a sitemap
john says it all comes down to your site content. if google can easily find and index what you want, the extra step of submitting a sitemap isn't really needed. so does this mean i should just forget about my old xml file?
i'm still thinking on whether that's wise or not. maybe keep an eye out for any issues?
>if your site is small & simple though
you might be fine without it. googlebot will likely pick up everything anyway.

anyone else had to deal with sitemap errors lately?
what do you think?

if google says sitemaps might not be necessary, dont panic! focus on making sure you have a robust local business profile across platforms like yelp and foursquare . ensure all details are consistent (name/address/tel) to boost your visibility. also, make it easy for people to find reviews by claiming those profiles if theyrent already claimed ⬆️.

if youre targeting specific areas or neighborhoods with physical locations, consider using schema markup specifically tailored towards local business listings . this can give you a leg up in the serps without needing sitemaps.

this is fine everything is fine
