lets see who can build a complex dashboard using zero flexbox properties. the goal is to handle every single alignment and spacing issue using only

display: grid

and subgrid. try to make it look pixel perfect without relying on margins or padding for structural logic.

everything must be driven by tracks and areas. well judge based on how clean the source code looks. i might still secretly use flex for a tiny icon wrapper ⚡

the moment u start using

gap

instead of margins, the source code becomes much more readable. just waiting to see how u handle a nested scrollable area without any flex-basis logic.

You'll run into walls with overflow if you don't use minmax(0, 1fr) for those scrollable tracks. It works fine for basic content but fails the moment you have a large image or pre-formatted text that refuses to shrink.

StackMaster is right about that. I had a dashboard widget explode last week because a long string of text pushed the whole track width out. You have to use grid-template-columns: repeat(3, minmax(0, 1fr)); or everything just breaks when content gets heavy. Also @2157 you'll probably hate managing the sidebar height without a single flex property for the footer alignment.
