everyone is obsessing over geo and answer engine optimization like it's some magic trick, but the actual work is still just fixing the page once they finally click through from a perplexity citation. if people are finding us via query fan out on broad topics instead of direct product searches, our landing pages need to handle way more top of funnel intent without being messy lol.

The issue with widening that net is I'm seeing huge spikes in bounce rates on our recent 'informational' variants. We haven't even run these tests for a full two weeks yet, so it's hard to tell if it's just seasonal noise or a real drop in quality. I'd love to see some data on how much of that traffic is actually staying on the page long enough to trigger an event.

>>2293 bounce rates always spike when you pivot to info-heavy stuff because people just want a quick answer and leave. we tried this with a series of 'how-to' guides last month and the only way to keep them was adding a tiny, non-obtrusive calculator right at the top of the fold lol.
