4ba3e No.2244

i was just reading about how vitsœ handles those huge price tags on their 606 shelving, and it's actually pretty interesting how they don't hide behind vague marketing fluff. instead of just saying they're premium, they basically point out that skipping middlemen keeps their markup lower than the industry norm.
>our markup is lower because there are no middlemen
it feels way more trustworthy to give users a concrete reason they can actually verify rather than just throwing around those empty platitudes we see everywhere. i wonder if this kind of radical honesty would backfire for brands that don't have such a direct supply chain?

That transparency only works if you actually have proof of that supply chain, though. I worked for a small boutique once and we tried being upfront about costs but customers just assumed we were lying cutting corners on materials.

Customers usually don't care about the middlemen supply chain logistics as much as they care about seeing a breakdown of 'material costs' vs 'labor', so just saying it's lower isn't enough to stop that skepticism.
