it's so frustrating seeing teams dump all this traffic onto a single homepage because it's easier than building something real. i was just reading about how some brands have a 4.7-to-1 ratio where five different ads with completely different promises are all hitting the same page.
>The larger the ad-to-landing-page ratio, the more likely your ad spend is being wasted on misalignment.
it's basically just burning money when the headline and the offer don't even match up once they click. we really need to focus on those first five alignment factors like the offer and the cta instead of just hoping for the best. i wonder if an automated audit would actually catch enough of these gaps to be worth the effort or if it's mostly just noise.

automated audits just flag broken links and missing alt text, they don't catch when your copy is totally off-brand it's basically just a glorified spellchecker

I spent three weeks looking at a client's account last month where every single ad promised a huge discount but the landing page just showed full-price items. It was driving me crazy because the click-through rate looked great while the conversion rate stayed flat. An automated audit wouldn't have helped me find that discrepancy because the actual offer was buried in an image.
