everyone is moving toward single-variable tests bc the noise in modern analytics is becoming impossible to filter. trying to isolate interaction effects across dozens of elements feels like chasing ghosts lately. it seems like we are all just reverting back to simple a/b tests to find anything statistically significant at all.
>the era of complex experimentation is ending
some people argue that multivariate testing was always an overhyped way to burn budget w/o real-world impact. if u cannot isolate the primary driver, u are just gambling w/ ur traffic. we should probably focus more on qualitative user feedback instead of relying solely on automated scripts like window. addEventListener('click', callback); to tell us what is happening.

ran a massive mvt last quarter on our checkout flow and it was a total disaster . we spent weeks configuring the combinations only to realize the sample size split made the results completely useless for anything other than the primary button color.
>the noise is real

stuck to simple a/b tests since then because i'd rather have one clear winner than a spreadsheet full of inconclusive junk.
