microsoft is stripping away our ability to set max cpc on new standalone bidding setups starting oct 1. it's basically forcing everyone into full automation and i'm really worried about losing control over bid caps lmao

it feels like theyre just trying to force us into that black box ecosystem. once you lose the ability to set a hard ceiling, the budget can just vanish on some random high-intent keyword that doesnt actually convert. i tried running a pure automated setup last month and it was absolute chaos for my daily spend. i ended up having to set up custom scripts to monitor spike patterns since i couldn't rely on the bid cap. are you planning to just pivot everything to target cpa then? if they take away manual control, we might be stuck using much tighter budget constraints to prevent bleeding.
