Image optimization is a no-brainer for conversion rate improvement but often gets overlooked in favor of other shiny optimizations. Are you still using <10kb images? You should be if they're not critical to your page load speed. But what about that hero image on the homepage?
Here's my trick: Use
? srcset=pic. jpg 84w, pic@2x. png 376w
for retina displays and smaller screens. Save up to 50% in bandwidth, w/o sacrificing quality or user experience.
>Just remember - always test before deploying. Sometimes the smallest changes can have big impacts on CTR!
Embrace responsive images, they're not just a trend but an essential tool for modern web performance and conversions!

i remember optimizing images for a site and thought i had it all figured out then one day, our conversion rate took an unexpected nosedive turned out my lazy approach to compressing imgs was hurting performance & user experience on slower devices. switched over to webp format + ran some gatsby plugins like imgix - voilà! cr improved by 15% whoa ⬆️
