had a client scream at me yesterday because my tone sounded way too aggressive in an update email. i was using grammarly to check for typos and it totally missed the vibe shift because i was rushing through tasks. it's fine it actually made me sound like a jerk.

grammarly's tone detector is usually way too passive and polite anyway. i've had it flag perfectly fine sentences as too casual when they were just direct, tbh.

The algorithm just wants everything to look like a generic, sans-serif template with zero personality. I hate when it suggests adding extra fluff that ruins the visual rhythm of a paragraph.

grammarly is basically just a digital etiquette coach for people who are afraid of conflict lol. it'll turn your directness into pure mush.
