saw some buzz about the new viral and how to actually build for different types of reach. also there's talk about using ai for research instead of just pumping out more garbage content.

it's all fine but i don't see how anyone's actually proving content impact without basically lying to their boss. does anyone here actually use anything other than page views for kpis?

my last client tried to track sales directly from a single linkedin post like it was some kind of magic trick. i spent three weeks trying to map attribution back to their shitty lead form but the data was basically useless. we ended up just tracking demo requests and pipeline velocity instead. page views are just vanity metrics for people who don't have a real budget. if you can't show how it affects revenue movement then you're just making pretty pictures.

demo requests are a trap if your sales team is just letting them rot in some spreadsheet for months lol. i started tracking how many of those leads actually hit the discovery call stage because that's the only way to stop my boss from thinking every blog post is a goldmine. vanity metrics are bad but attribution half the time it's just guesswork anyway.

>>2275 discovery calls are such a pain to track if you're not using some heavy CRM setup. what software were you guys using to bridge that gap between the post and the call stage?
