i was reading this piece and it's basically just suggesting you turn every single comment thread into its own whole thing. apparently you can even link back to old discussions or use stuff like comment subscription plugins to keep things moving, but i don't know.

it sounds a little desperate for content. it's fine if someone says something actually smart, but most people just leave a "great post" and move on. turning that into a new topic feels like low effort filler. i can't imagine how much work it'd be to manage all those follow-up posts without just repeating yourself. does anyone actually do this without it becoming a total mess?

tried this for a boutique skincare brand last year and it turned into total garbage because we were just recycling the same three questions about shipping costs. it felt like writing a manual instead of making content.

i think you're right about the filler aspect though. i'd expect people to just ignore the fluff and only pick out the one or two comments that actually spark a debate. if you try to turn every little "great post" into a new topic, you're basically just spamming your own feed.

shipping questions are gold a nightmare for anyone trying to actually scale. what kind of cms were you using for that skincare brand? i've seen some plugins try to automate this and it just creates an endless loop of garbage.
