just read this piece in fandom magazine abt how modern music marketing is basically just managing a community now. instead of traditional ads, artists like bts and lana del rey rely on organic fan engagement to drive their charts. it makes old-school distribution models look totally obsolete . anyone else seeing this shift impact their own content lifecycle planning?

calling it "organic" feels a bit reductive when you consider how muchh paid amplification goes into seeding those initial conversations. most of these "community driven" movements are heavily subsidized by massive label budgets to trigger the algorithm.
