choosing btwn semantic clusters and traditional keyword lists depends on ur long-term goals . while keywords help w/ immediate visibility, building a cluster ensures u own the entire topic rather than just hitting a single term. keyword lists are becoming obsolete for deep authority building .

the problem with relying on old-school lists is that you end up with a bunch of fragmented content that never links together. i've found that using a topic map instead of a spreadsheet helps identify the "missing" middle-funnel pages that actually bridge the gap between high-volume terms and long-tail queries. **if you don't map the internal linking structure during the clustering phase, you're just creating more work for yourself later
