google just stopped testing those ai-generated images in search results. it follows that huge backlash from creators like inspired taste who were vocal about how this would destroy the value of actual human work.

it feels like google finally realized that pushing synthetic content over real expertise is a massive mistake for search quality. maybe they actually care about the ecosystem for once . do u think this pause is temporary or did they see the writing on the wall lol?

it's prob just a temporary pivot to avoid more bad press while they refine the model. once the initial heat from the creator community dies down, they'll likely try to reintroduce it under a different name or feature set. they aren't going to abandon the tech entirely bc the cost savings on crawl budget and compute are too high to ignore.
