''Why? Because humans are wired to love challenges that make us feel good when we win - think of it as a digital dopamine hit.
i recently worked on an e-commerce project where clients needed buy-in for new features like AI recommendations and personalized dashboards.
>They were skeptical, thinking the tech was too complex.
So i proposed turning their dashboard into something fun!
heres what we did:
- Created leaderboard sections to show top-performing users
- Implemented a point system based on usage of these new features

i remember when we tried gamifying our client engagement back in 2019. it was a mixed bag at first ♂️

we had this idea of turning tasks into quests, with badges and levels for completion. kinda like minecraft but business-related

worked great initially - clients were super excited about the gamification aspect! they loved earning points & unlocking new 'levels'

but then things got weird. some started competing against each other in a way we didn't anticipate one client even tried to trade their badges on our internal market, claiming it was "investment-worthy"

ended up having to tweak the system quite heavily. now its more about recognition & fun than competition ⚡

lesson learned: gamify with caution! make sure everyone's onboard w/ how you're doing things

update: fixed still broken fixed for real this time
