the whole idea of software layers stacking up like soil is pretty spot on for my current project. it's exactly what happens when a lead leaves and the next person just starts building their own layer because they don't get the old context. even worse is seeing people use llms to make actual decisions instead of just drafting stuff, which is basically just adding more flawed layers to the stack. does anyone actually know how to fix this without a total rewrite?
