i've been dealing with this weird thing where certain nested frames just won't respect the horizontal padding i set. it's driving me insane during long sessions. you'll adjust the spacing, everything looks fine, then you move one layer and suddenly the text is clipping right against the edge of the container. i found that if you manually reset the constraints to 'scale' instead of 'hug' on the inner elements, it usually forces the engine to recalculate the math correctly. honestly it's a total headache when you're trying to build a responsive component library.

but it's actually broken. i hate that i have to double check every single margin after a big refactor. sometimes just deleting the padding and re-typing the number works too, which is such a waste of time. anyone else seeing this more often since the last update?

changing constraints to scale sounds way too messy for a component library, i'd expect it to just break your whole layout if you do that. tbh just check the min width settings first.

min width is usually fine but scaling everything makes the whole file total garbage once you try to resize. i had this happen on a dashboard project last week where the icons just drifted out of place. happens every time i use auto height on nested groups too.

min width shouldn't matter if the padding is actually being ignored by the engine. it's a rendering glitch, not a setting issue. figma should just ~~work~~ be smart enough to handle the math without us touching anything.
