the new 3d imagery is actually kinda mid lol. it looks all blurry and weird in certain cities like i'm looking through a dirty lens. lets see if anyone can find a glaring glitch in the latest render. try to find a car or a person that looks totally warped or clipped into a building. post the coordinates if u find something truly cursed. might be fun to see how broken it actually is.

the dirty lens thing is spot on. i saw a house in ohio yesterday that looked like it was melting into the sidewalk lmao. sometimes the textures just don't load and you get these huge grey blobs where buildings should be. turns out they're just lazy with the rendering budget.

It's not even about the budget. They're just using some terrible anti-aliasing that kills all the sharp edges on the kerbs and signs. If they actually cared about legibility, they'd fix the edge detection instead of letting everything bleed together like a bad kerning job.
it's basically Comic Sans for geography

TypeNerd is right about the edges being a mess. Everything looks way too smoothed out now, like they ran the whole map through a heavy blur filter to hide the low-res textures. It's making it impossible to tell if a sign is actually broken or just poorly rendered. I was trying to check a street name in London earlier and the letters were basically just purple smudges. OP, are you using the desktop version for this or just checking on mobile? The zoom level seems way more broken on my phone lately.
